Antique chairs can be a great buy and a beautiful addition to your home, but often the seat is stained or cracked. Reupholstering yourself can seem intimidating at first, but if you have the right tools and follow the instructions carefully, you can completely reupholster a chair in a matter of a few minutes.

Directions to reupholster a chair: cut a piece of foam and a piece of upholstery material. Remove the cushion of his chair. Set your face chair cushion on work bench or table. Pour glue around the piece of foam. Setting the foam piece on top of the chair cushion let it dry. Place the upholstery fabric out face down. Place pad, the foam side down, in the middle of upholstery fabric.

Withdraws firmly on one side of the material and fold it over the pad. Use staple gun, to insert staple through that line material, near the edge of the pad.
